Fund Governance & Integrity

How We Manage & Protect the Scholarship Fund

To ensure total transparency and protect against fraud, every dollar earmarked for scholarships is held in a segregated treasury account and audited.

100% Institutional Direct Pay

Scholarship awards are paid strictly to the accredited higher education institution (bursar/financial aid office) on behalf of the student winner. Cash payments made directly to student winners or any third party are strictly prohibited.

Debt Settlement & Advancement

Funds must be distributed where legal in a manner that settles any outstanding academic debt currently due and owing to the institution, with any remaining funds diverted to the student to further their educational pursuits.

Quarterly Member Newsletters

Following every quarterly lottery drawing, all verified winners and institutional vouchers are published in a transparent newsletter distributed platform-wide to all VeloGO association members.

Submission Rules & Protocol

How Students Apply in the VeloGO Member App

Submissions are accepted exclusively within the VeloGO member application under verified student profile credentials.

Up to 4 Submissions Per Calendar Year

Members may submit up to 4 applications per calendar year—one for each quarterly lottery drawing (January 3, April 3, July 3, and October 3).

1,000-Word Minimum Essay (No Pasting)

Applicants must type a minimum 1,000-word essay directly into the app form detailing the intended use of the funds. Clipboard paste is locked to ensure genuine manual input.

Mandatory Non-AI Declaration

Applicants must check: "I HONESTLY DECLARE THAT I DID NOT USE AI TO DRAFT THIS ESSAY." Stylistic analysis is verified prior to committee review.

E-Signature & Transcript Upload

Must provide full legal e-signature, upload official transcript/enrollment proof, and specify the higher education institution name and address for direct check payment.
